With the help of his team, Scott has discovered an algorithm for flight search engines to find mistake fares and other crazy good deals. For an annual fee of $40 you can pick your preferred airport and receive flight deals from that location. There is also a free version of this service available.

Okay, so this is a tricky one. This site focuses on something called “hidden city ticketing,” which essentially takes advantage of the fact that airline ticket prices are driven mostly by the market than distance traveled. You essentially book further than where you really want to go, and have longer layovers to save money.
