Expanding your perspective
This is my favorite. I loved traveling, because it helped me open my mind. I began to realize that there’s no one way to live life.
Meeting different people from different places will show you that the world can be seen though many different lenses. By being exposed to these differences, you’ll develop a wider world view. On top of that, it will make you a better-rounded global citizen. It is a great reward to be able to understand that there are many different ways to live life.
You will expand your comfort zone
The life of travel is nice, but in reality it is intimidating. Humans are creatures of habit, and venturing out into the uncertainty of the world can be uncomfortable. What’s great about this though is you will discover how resourceful you are once you are exposed to other cultural experiences. It could be ordering food in another language, or even hang gliding.
Learning is a HUGE reason why most people love to travel. Going out and seeing the world is at times cheaper and far more educational than any high school or college class. This hands on crash course teaches you how the rest of the world actually lives. You will learn about the geography, history and culture of each destination. All while immersing yourself into a completely different world.
Getting away from home gives you the opportunity to look into your own life. You have time and space to let your mind think. Each day you are away you will be given many obstacles and opportunities. How you handle these will give you a better insight into who you are. You will come home with a fresh perspective on life.
Appreciating your life
When you are caught up in the habits of daily life, it’s easy to lose sight of what you have. You aren’t really aware of it, because everything and everyone has become customary to your life. Exploring another place and being away for a while will give you fresh appreciation for life back home. You will see there really is no place like it.
