Who we are
This website, standbylabs.com, is operated by SYEDEV LLC FZ, a company registered in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, trading as Standby Labs (“we”, “us”). For the personal data described in this policy we are the data controller. You can contact us about anything in this policy at hello@standbylabs.com.
What we collect
Information you give us. When you book a call, ask for a call-back or fill in a form, we collect:
- your name, email address and phone number;
- your business name, the kind of project you are interested in and anything you choose to tell us in the notes field;
- the time you choose for a call and your timezone.
Information collected automatically. When you visit the site we and our providers collect:
- technical data such as your IP address, approximate location (country and timezone), browser, device and the pages you visit;
- where you consent, or where consent is not required in your region, analytics data from Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity, including how you move through pages. Clarity may record anonymised session replays; it masks form inputs;
- on our advertising landing pages, campaign data such as the ad or link that brought you to the site, and, with the same consent rules, the Meta pixel.
Our cookie policy explains these tools and how to switch them off.
How we use it
- To arrange and hold the call you asked for, including sending the invitation and reminders. Our basis is taking steps at your request before entering into a contract.
- To respond to your enquiry and follow up about it. Our basis is our legitimate interest in answering people who contact us.
- To understand and improve the website, through analytics. Our basis is your consent where the law requires it, otherwise our legitimate interest.
- To measure our advertising. Our basis is your consent where the law requires it.
- To keep the site secure and meet legal obligations.
We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use it to make decisions about you that have legal or similarly significant effects.
Calls with our AI agents
If you ask for an instant call-back or try a live demo, the call is handled by one of our AI voice agents, and the agent tells you it is an AI at the start of the call. The call may be recorded and transcribed so that we can follow up on your request and improve the agent. Our voice technology providers process the audio on our behalf. Who we share it with
We share personal data only with providers that help us run the business, under contracts that limit how they use it:
- HighLevel (LeadConnector): our CRM, calendar and booking system;
- Vercel: website hosting and delivery;
- Google (Google Analytics and Google Workspace): analytics, email and meeting invitations;
- Microsoft (Clarity): website analytics;
- Meta: advertising measurement on our campaign landing pages;
- Voice and telephony providers such as Retell AI: placing and handling calls with our AI agents.
We may also disclose data where the law requires it, or to protect our rights, or as part of a sale or reorganisation of our business.
International transfers
We are based in the UAE and our providers operate in several countries, including the United States and the European Union. Where data about people in the UK or EU is transferred to a country without an adequacy decision, we rely on the appropriate safeguards our providers offer, such as the European Commission's standard contractual clauses and the UK addendum. For people in the UAE, we transfer data abroad only as permitted by Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiry and booking records for as long as we are in contact with you and for up to three years after our last contact, unless you become a client, in which case we keep what our contract and the law require. Call recordings from demos and call-backs are kept for up to twelve months. Analytics data is kept for fourteen months. You can ask us to delete your data sooner.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you have the right to:
- access the personal data we hold about you and receive a copy;
- correct data that is wrong, or have it deleted;
- object to or restrict how we use it, including for direct marketing;
- withdraw consent at any time, for example through the “Cookie settings” link in our footer;
- move your data to another provider.
To use any of these rights, email hello@standbylabs.com. We will reply within one month. If you are unhappy with our answer you can complain to your data protection authority: in the UK the Information Commissioner's Office, in the EU your local supervisory authority, and in the UAE the UAE Data Office.
Security
We protect personal data with access controls, encryption in transit and reputable providers, and we give our team access only to what they need. No system is perfectly secure, so if you think something is wrong, please tell us straight away.
Client data we process
When we build and run agents for a client, the agents handle the client's customers' calls and records. For that data we act as a processor on the client's behalf, under a separate data processing agreement, and the client's own privacy notice applies. This policy covers the data of people who visit our website or contact us directly.
Changes and contact
We will update this policy when our practices change and show the date of the latest version at the top. Our site is not intended for children under 16 and we do not knowingly collect their data.
